Community Power Up as Garmin and Run Mummy Run align

Run Mummy Run, the leading free online running community for women, has announced an exclusive partnership in the wearable tech sector with Garmin, offering its community more expert support and encouraging more women into running.

Garmin will help to keep the Run Mummy Run community free for all members, whilst providing educational content, special community offers and competitions throughout the year. Garmin will also support new community developments in 2022, offering women runners free resources and initiatives to help take the guesswork out of training and to keep them motivated.

Furthermore, Garmin and Run Mummy Run will be working together to raise awareness of how wearables and smartwatches can encourage healthy, active lifestyles. Garmin’s running and wellness smartwatches will be of particular interest to the Run Mummy Run community members, which have built-in safety features, stress monitoring and women’s health tracking as well as running and fitness features[1].

Run Mummy Run and Garmin are aligned when it comes to encouraging motivation and promoting personal accountability in pursuit of individual goals, and this is deemed as a perfect partnership by both parties.

Garmin joins ASICS as Family Partner of Run Mummy Run.

Run Mummy Run was established in 2012 and is the leading online running community of its kind, connecting over 190,000 women through a shared love of running and activity across the various channels. RMR brings women runners together to support and motivate each other, whilst actively promoting kindness, friendship, love, support, equality and unity as core values.

Run Mummy Run launched its own online run club affiliated with England Athletics earlier this year and the community continues to go from strength to strength as this latest partnership with Garmin confirms. The first ever Run Mummy Run podcast “Running Conversations. Real-life Stories from women who run” also went live in May.

Rebecca Richardson, Co-Owner and Director of Partnerships at Run Mummy Run commented: “We are excited to announce this latest Family Partnership and to welcome Garmin into the community as our wearable tech partner. Working with brands like Garmin allows us to keep membership to the main Run Mummy Run group free and accessible to all women, something that is very important to Leanne Davies, the Founder of Run Mummy Run and myself.

We know that many women love to monitor their progress and keep an eye on their stats, and that running watches help them to stay on track with their chosen running and training plans. These are exciting times for the Run Mummy Run community and we are all looking forward to working closely with such an iconic and inspirational brand as Garmin.”

Theo Axford, Head of Marketing at Garmin UK, said: “We’re really thrilled to announce our partnership with Run Mummy Run. Together we want to further empower women to be active and to lead healthy lifestyles, making a difference to their physical and mental wellbeing. We’re looking forward to connecting with the women in the community. Run Mummy Run is the perfect community for Garmin to be a part of whilst helping to keep if free for thousands of its women members.”
